Kopań Lake Sandbar

The Lake Kopań [1] Barrier is localised on middle Polish coast [2]. The exposition of the coastline on the barrier is causing fast erosion of the dunes and retreating of the coast. Dunes are low or even vanishing. On the beach may be found peat slices. A lot of pebbles wash out from cliffs or from shore are covering the beach. Old trees trunks overhang the beach surface and eroded, retiring dune.
In the narrowest place barrier is only 50m wide (measures: 06.2004).
On both sides of the barrier there are morenic clay slices, one on the West [3] lies on the hinterland and the East one may be found as separate sheets even on the coastline.
